What does the California State Budget have to do with EQC and IQCP?

CAMLT Governmental Affairs Committee and members have raised a concern that changes to CLIA will no longer allow California clinical laboratories to use alternative QC options such as Equivalent Quality Control (EQC) or Individualized Quality Control Plan (IQCP).  CAMLT and other stakeholders are in support of the adoption of budget trailer bill language to allow for EQC to be used until December 31, 2015 and for EQC to be replaced by IQCP on January 1, 2016.  For more information, visit our legislative update page by clicking on this link or Legislative tab above.
