We are looking for a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist to be a superstar and lead our lab in the right direction! We are expanding the scope of our current lab so this is an exciting time to become a part of the team. The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the overall operations and coordinator of the technical activities of the laboratory to insure efficient operation for adult and geriatric patients.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Laboratory Science or Bachelor Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory. Ability to work with laboratory information system. Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and EXCEL. Possession of a current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license issued by the California Department of Health Services, Laboratory Field Services Section. ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

LABORATORY MANAGER
Hematology-Oncology Medical Group is a private medical office located in the Central California city of Fresno, CA. Our office consists of 5 physicians, all board certified in Oncology and Hematology and an office staff of 65 employees. We have been practicing medicine as a group in Fresno for the last 35 years. LABORATORY DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR - CHEMISTRY Mid-night shift, variable hours/workdays as needed
In this role, you will be responsible for directing and controlling the day to day operations of the chemistry department. You will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and ensuring competency of the staff; motivating and encouraging professional and personnel growth; and controlling costs by monitoring personnel utilization, materials usage rates, analyzing fluctuations in types and volumes of tests, and implementing corrective action. Duties include directing and implementing effective risk control processes; supporting, consulting, and participating with facility and regional QA programs to ensure internal and external regulatory compliance; assisting in developing and monitoring section specific QA/Risk Management programs; assisting in monitoring quality assurance for laboratory information systems; and researching/resolving client problems/issues. Other duties include overseeing and coordinating operational aspects within various subsections of the clinical laboratory; participating in department, inter department, and inter facility projects which help the laboratory achieve its goals of providing quality service and client support in cost effect manner; developing equipment and system needs analysis as appropriate; coordinating the integration of secondary laboratory information systems with RILIS; interfacing with the lab manager to implement and monitor an internal and external compliant/incident program; and coordinating/implementing a safety program to include fire, hazardous wastes, infectious wastes, electrical, and chemical.
