CAMLT'S STARS OF THE LABORATORY UNIVERSE

SEMINARS
Over 61 units are being offered this year, providing many choices for your continuing education needs, including 3 units specifically for phlebotomists.  This year we have invited Dr. Karen Nickel, Chief, Laboratory Field Services, to close our Exhibits with a one-hour free CEU  on "How California Laboratory Law Got to be Where it is Now!"  (pre-registration required).  Register now for best prices.  You may also register on-site for any seminars still available.

WELCOMING RECEPTION / EXHIBITS - Friday
This is a wonderful opportunity to see where lab testing is going.  Visit with our vendors to see the latest and the greatest.  Make time to enjoy some food and beverage while visiting with friends old and new.  Dr. Nickel's presentation will follow the Exhibits.

LUNCH AT EXHIBITS - Saturday
As you come out of your morning seminar or meeting, go through the Exhibits and talk with the representatives.  Boxed lunches can be pre-purchased at $10.00 per lunch (see registration form).  Everything is nearby and easy to get to, so don't miss out.

STUDENT FORUM - Saturday
Take the opportunity to see the future!  Laboratory students from around the state will present Posters or PowerPoint presentations.  This will provide a chance for attendees to admire the depth of current student learning, and to be reassured that our laboratories will be left in highly capable hands.

FunQuest - Saturday
Explore Historic Old Town Pasadena on a FunQuest.  We'll gather in the lobby to start.  After a stroll under the stars we will meet back at the Hotel for dinner and prizes.

LAB-PAC WALK / RUN - Sunday
Get the blood flowing while networking and getting ready for Sunday's events during an early morning walk or run along Pasadena pathways just outside the hotel.  The Walk / Run raises funds for CAMLT's LAB-PAC.

LAB-PAC LUNCHEON - Sunday
Join us for our annual luncheon hosted by none other than our own Legislative Advocate, Kathy Rees.  At this time the legislator who will be speaking is still classified information.  We have several very good legislators in the Los Angeles, so I'm sure you won't be disappointed.  Don't forget to bring your "mad money," check books, etc. for our annual LAB-PAC fundraiser.

INSTALLATION BANQUET - Sunday
The formal finish to this year's convention is a great opportunity to celebrate the successes of the year and our new Board Members as they are officially installed.  The CLS of the Year will be awarded as you relax with good food, good music, and good friends.
